Lakewood Historical Society is participating in the Community Rewards program sponsored by Kroger (its Colorado brands are King Soopers and City Market). This program will allow our organization to receive donations from Kroger based on the amount of shopping that all our members and friends do at its stores. So every time you buy something from the grocery store with your registered loyalty card, you are helping fund the historical society without paying anything extra!

Kroger will pay $10 million annually. So every quarter, $2.5 million will be divided amongst all registered nonprofits, with a max payment to any organization of $125,000 per quarter. The amount received is based upon our percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending of all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations. The more members and supporters we have signed up who are shopping at Kroger brands such as King Soopers and City Market, the greater our donation will get.

To participate the King Soopers or City Market Community Rewards Program:

• For City Market Stores - go to https://www.citymarket.com/i/community/community-rewards 

Once logged into your King Soopers or City Market account, you can search for Lakewood Historical Society, Inc. either by name or the NPO number DW538, and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address, and a loyalty card.

A few things to note to participate the program:

• You must have a registered King Soopers or City Market loyalty card account to link to our organization

• If you do not yet have a King Soopers or City Market loyalty card, it is available at the customer service desk at any King Soopers or City Market

• Purchases will not count for our organization until after you register your loyalty card and link it to us

• You must swipe your registered King Soopers or City Market loyalty card or use the phone number that is related to your registered King Soopers or City Market loyalty card when shopping for each purchase to count.
